The rapid development and usability of information technology IT has turned the world into a global village. It has changed the way we learn, communicate, obtained information and do business. IT can improve efficiency at a lower cost. In fact whatever you are in, IT can do it better. In due to this, the government of Ghana with support from development partners like the United Nation Development Programme UNDP adopted the model of the Sefwi Wiawso Community Information Centre based on the concept to assist in bridging the IT gap between rural and urban areas, and the provision of IT facilities can enable deprived communities to make functional use of IT in their day to day economic and other activities for wealth creation and poverty reduction.
